HP#'s On Turbonetics Ball bearing T3T04B
I have one of these and haven't been able to find much info on there abilities. Turbonetics says they will support up to 450HP, But i am not sure.
Wasn't able to find much on them, Doesn't seem to be a popular choice of turbos around here anyway, If someone has one or knows someone who does please explain setup and #'s. Thanks Guys

they sell ball bearing t04e's and b's. the power abilities dont change from those of the non-ball bearing t04's. just quicker spool

well, its a quasi ball bearing, if you will. turbonetics uses a standard journal bearing on the exhaust side, with a steel (i think) ball bearing on the compressor side

ball bearing turbo arent cool anymore unless they are something uber ultra mega technical like the gt series remember. lol
Im using a Turbonetics T3T04B NON ball bearing turbo. Made 321whp, 264trq at 15 psi with my 9:1 cr 84.5mm B18C1. Spools up fairly quick at 2700rpm and reaches full boost at 4200rpm. Great turbo for mid range power, however, it kind of runs out of breath after 7k rpm.
So far, you have failed to mention what size turbine you have. Is it stage 1-2-3 or 5? What A/R do you have?
3 variations trim of T04B: SS, SV and SH (in order of CFM)

i run the fmax kit turbo, t3/t4b 57 trim w/stage 3 wheel, my numbers arent crazy, but i have yet to see what it can do in the 15psi range. i do not believe most of these kit turbos, or at least the drag kit turbo's run max efficiency around 15ish, and nothing more than 20 or so. but thats all speculation as i cant attest that ive tried yet. i dont know if this helps at all, just figured id chime in.

Did you ever dyno the car?
If you have the 15116 b16a civic kit, it comes with a Ball Bearing T3/T04b SuperV trim Stage II .48 A/R turbo. Because of the smaller turbine side, it should be a good match for the 1.6L motor, but probably not make huge numbers on the dyno. I'm guessing about 350whp max (at high boost).... maybe more if tuned super well with AEM or something running over 20 psi. At a standard 8.5 psi on a stock engine it should be in the 220-250whp range with the kit.
