Sup guys. The lever up front to open the hatch window is not working. I have to open the hatch by using the key.

I inspected the area where the lever is and everything looked normal but when I pull the latch there's no point of resistance or a "pop" feeling. All I hear is something in the trunk area moving around when I pull the lever.

I was going to take apart the hatch plastic and try to figure it out but I dont know how to take it off? If sombody could tell me how then I could probably figure out the problem myself but anyway. Does anyone know how to fix it?

u have to adjust the part the trunk latches too. Go with a socket and loosen the bolts it should be able to move up or down. I would suggest all the way down.

 

Your cable has too much slack.

 

When you take off the plastic on the back of the tailgate, you can see the cable that pops the hatch. Most likely it popped out of the cable "stay" and there's no resistance. Pop it open and take a look.
