That, and they like to ban these days for going places where nobody knows anything about UD and asking UD questions. They got tired of bitching and **** talking based on tech support that came from imbeciles - go figure.

If you delete your original post, eg6T, I'm pretty certain everybody on the UD Forum will be cool about it. It would let everybody know we're all on the same page and all that stuff.

I hate going to UD forums, so I will break it down.

What you need:
1. P28 ECU
2. Laptop
3. Uber software
4. Wideband O2 sensor - ($300)
5. Parts to modify ECU - ($50)
6. Chip burner - ($95 shipped from moates.net)
7. Ostrich (optional - $175 from moates.net)

Go here: http://home.mn.rr.com/keebler65/honda/ to learn what you need to buy to chip and socket your ECU. It will cost about $50 if you order from all the places keebler suggests (that's what I did). This site will tell you how to modify the ECU and will show you where to download the uber software. The "old school" way of using uber involves spending hours upon hours burning and swapping chips to get a final tune. The easier way is to buy emulation software called "ostrich" which allows you to tune in about 1/10 the time. You can go either route, it depends on if your time is worth more or less than $175.

whats wrong with the forums? Its a good source of info on new versions and all. Keebler's site doesn't explain everything you need to know about uber.

I agree with all the guys about posting all questions and what-not on the Uberdata forums. All the stuff listed by JRciv could have easily been found on the uberdata forums. Or if you had just posted this question on there, the folks on UD would have gladly answered your questions. Or maybe they would have been like every forum on the internet and they would have yelled DO A SEARCH NOOB!!! instead. lol

Anyways you should check out the uberforums, and Keebler65's kickass site.

Keep your uber questions on the uber board.
The response time is getting better and better these days.

(And the info will always be correct).

Uber made a mover outta me.

You can learn all you would ever need to know about uberdata on the forum. All the people that write the scripts and know how stuff works are there? Why wouldn't you want to go there. That is just stupid.

i disagree on the 50 bucks for the chipping of the ecu part....it could be had for 30 bucks, xenocron(xenocroM? i dunno) offers all the parts for 23 shipped.

after you take into account shipping, tracking, soldering braid, solder and all the parts, and the time put into it, $50 is well worth it in my opinion.

well it's 23 shipped from xenocron(m), but yeah, the soldering braid, and soldering iron - all that's needed - is like 15 more.
Heh, not to be a dick or anything. But some ppl...ahem me ahem...like to save a few dollars here and there.

check out pgmfi.org for a lot of resources
