Okay heres the deal, I am looking for a short shifter, a couple people recommended http://www.pspectuning.com, but they do not have a shifter for 2000 Accord yet. I went to Car Parts FX and talked to them about getting me a shifter. They didn't have any there to show me so he ordered one from DC Sports, but he never said anything about an ADAPTER. I strictly said short shifter, which I figured would be the shifting bar and the whole deal like a kit. I got the part today and its a little 3 inch metal adapter piece..... I called them up and now there telling me, "Honda Accords only use short shift adapters, you won't find a kit anywhere that comes with the bar and everything.. Is this true, because the way the bar is shaped on my shifter right now its bent in 2 way's so you can only cut so much off of it, otherwise my **** is going to be crook'ed.

Does anyone know what I should do?

 

step 1: get rid of those taillights, put your OEM ones back in.
step 2: send back the adapter for a refund
step 3: wallow in self-pity because you are SOL

Honestly, unless anyone else here knows otherwise, I believe the 6th gens get no love when it comes to the short shifters. Its really unfortunate for all you 6th genners out there, but pspec seems to be the top of the line when it comes to short shifters for accords/preludes, and if he doesn't offer it, chances are that he either can't or there isnt enough demand. E-mail the Pete (owner of pspec) and see why he doesnt offer one or if he will be offering one later

 

Whats wrong with the lights? If its cuz they look orange, thats from the camera there not orange. And so I have to drive around with a 20foot shifter... its so ugly!
