Default Megan racing exhaust on a 99 Si

just wondering if any of you em1 owners have a meagan exhaust. just want to know if its a good sounding exhaust with good performance outputs. i was thinkin bout gettin megan exhaust since its cheaper than an N1 or an EVO2 exhaust. any info on the megan exhaust or megan products will be appreciated. thanks

I've had Megan Racing products on my car like headers at one point and strut bars and such. I never had any problems with fitment. I'd say go for it if you like the style. I believe the exhaust has 2.5" tubing and projects at an angle. Don't know anything about the sound so I won't assume. Hope that helps

i have a megan racing exhaust on my ek and it is by far the best sounding exhaust i have ever heard on a civic. everyone always says it sounds great. it's deep at low rpms and when it gets up into high rpms it gets that racey sound. it kind of sounds like a full blown race exhaust. it is definitely awesome though, pair it up with some 4-1 headers.

megan exhaust's is direct bolt on right? no welding or fabrication? and is their exhaust carb legal? i live in cali (damn smog ****'s) so i have to make sure its carb legal. i think they should be since they are an LA based shop.

Do you know if the lower tie bars are any good? I need to find one that will clear the ABS....that's why I ask.

the tie bars are good. they're basic aluminum tie bars. the front one really sacrifices your ride height though. i scrape mine all the time but i live in new hampshire so our roads really suck, but as far as quality they are good. i think i had to enlarge the holes on my front but i would just recommend getting the h-brace for the front instead.

i've installed about 10-12 megan racing exhaust's on various cars and they all sounded great to me. low tone, not high n raspy. it comes with a silencer which we rarely ever leave in since it already sounds good without it.

i remembered, i installed one on a 2004 civic hx. and the customer later complained that it was too quiet and not loud n ricey like his old crx

A friend of mine put a Megan Racing header on his H23 Prelude awhile back, with a Apex'i Exhaust, and it sounded good. Really quite unless you got down on it hard.

But besides the sound, it was a great product, Id recommend them to anyone.

I have their headers and I think they're great. IMO the headers I bought from megan racing are better than my old DC headers.
