Default cutting/drilling .375" acrylic??

I have a sheet of .375" acrylic i'm using to mount my ems, relays and fuse block to and need some input on how to cut it. I got a large sheet to give myself enough material for 2 attempts at cutting/drilling but i've never worked with anything other than wood/metal so I dont know what are the correct tools and how to do it. Any tips on what tool to use and how to cut the sheet down? Also is there a particular kind of drill bit to use and what kind of speed should I drill with?

Thanks
KP

use a circular saw and go slow. we cut it at work all the time with just a regular wood blade. then use some fine grit sand paper to clean up the burrs

The skill saw will work great but just go slow as he said above and dont stop till it is all the thru. that stuff is very brittle

A standard jigsaw will work. Use a plastic blade for utting the acrylic. It will come out with a smoother cut compared to a wood blade.

for drilling, use a piece of masking tape over the area you are going to drill through. I suggest a product called unibit

http://www.irwin.com/irwin/con...false

it works great cause it doesn't tend to bite into the soft stuff and you can use it to deburr the edges of a drilled hole. a lil' pricey but you don't have to buy a bunch of different size drill bits. It won't work if you have to drill into super thick stuff.
