I can feel a strong vibration when I am on the gas at high rpms. The vibration feels very similar to when you are on the brakes with a warped rotor. First I thought maybe it was the axle, but a bent or broken axle should only be affected by wheel speed, not engine speed right? Any insight to this would be appreciated.

 

By your sig, I'm going to say your turbo charged yah? At any rate, I'm no rock star mechanic but perhaps my comment may get the ball rolling with other opinions and hypothesis. Perhaps your feeling the early stages of detonation. Anyone?

Yes I'm turbocharged. I'm not so sure if its detonation cause my car is tuned; I don't think the car should vibrate that way if I was detonating. I think detonation is only audible, not felt. Anyone else care to chime in?

bent arm?

 

i had that problem in my integra too.. try coasting in neutral to make sure its definitely your engine.. if it still shakes in neutral, it might be a cv joint or maybe a wheel weight fell off? remember, im going by my past experience. gl
