Default Don't Know What Year

I have a friend whos getitn rid of his crx for free, cuz the tranny is unbolted and it needs a new starter. so im takin it off his hands. he told me its a 89 si. but i wanna knwo for sure. is there any way to tell?

the engine code should be d16a6...valve cover should say 16 valve and it should be mpfi

oops my bad it said what year....the tail lights dont have a darker trim around the edges...the front corner lights have screws to secure them .... the guage cluster is a little more boxy than the 90-91s

im thinkin its before this generation now. i looked at it and i think its a 87 si. wat engine code is this? and can i find performance parts for this anywere?

Yeah you can tell by the body style. 1g or 2g. The 1st gens are hard to tell apart. But 88-91 have so much info on them....

look at the engine and usually they wright the year of the motor next to the header.

Alright... what you can do is. Open the driver side door. You should see a bunch of white stickers with black printing on them. Like right when you open the door, look down at the edge of the car where the door used to be, if a sticker is not there, look at the end of the door (looking from the back of the car to the front). The stickers SHOULD be there. They might be worn out, it should say manufactured date on them along with the vin. Thats the way I used to tell what year it was when I worked at Pep-Boys.

Even saw an '09 ford mustang
