can i pass smog with out that pipe that looks like a U and connects to the air box

oh wait, your right, but they might look or notice it. if u have it just put it to be on the safe side

 

its a pain in the *** i have to take off the side wheel well and bumper

The big U-pipe that connects underneath the airbox and into the hidden resonator box? Yeah, you will pass without it. It's only used as a silencer.

I've had both my Z6 and my B16 engine with airbox pass without the U-pipe and resonator box taken out. They don't see it and again, it's only used as a silencer for intake noise.
