nice;

where did you get that box tubing from that you're using between the manifold and the flange?

I was debating on using similar tubing or just welding the flange straight to the manifold.

i forget the name of the place i get them from. i have it written down at work. welding the flange directly to the manifold kinda sucks cuz then you have to fill in all that crap on the sides. the box makes it real easy.

Plus they have manifold kits you can buy and you just weld it together.

Yeah I knew exectly what you were talking about. Only thing I've heard bad about their tubing is that they have a really hard coating on the tubing that you gotta get like sandblasted off or to grind off where your gonna weld on to get a good clean surface.

thats not a bad price
$90 for the **** - header flange
$20 for a flange from somewhere else

i was looking on mcmaster and it was going to be about $65 for the two t's and 2 90s; no box tubing and no t3 flange.

I may very well just buy that soon

/edit: and they have ram-horn kits

****** awesome

Ugly flange... could it possibly have any less outside shape to it?

JGS is pretty overpriced for his flanges too.. if i remember correctly he charges like $50 or $60 for a mild steel flange.

The green caoting is easy to get off, just use a 90* angle grinder and a 40grit flapper wheel. This is how we do it at work. Theres been days were all i have done is clean 4-12inch fittings for pipe with a angle grinder and a flapper wheel. Do that **** for 8 hours straight and you get black **** comin out of your nose all night long.

I like big thick flanges like that. Theres a lot less draw inthem when you weld them.

that green coating in only on the mild steel pieces, the stainless pieces have no coating. The ones that JGS sell are all weldbend pieces that anyone can get from a local plumbing supply store. SPend a dollar extra and get stainless schedule 10 or 40 you will be glad you did. The box tube is 2x4 square right?

I know. I love it when we work on SS, so easy to clean. Plus i get to TIG instead of MIG!

Yea, the green coating are mild steel fittings. Plus the SS T's dont have the sharp 90 inside of the T like the mild ones do. The ones Turbo-Charged is working with are SS...

yes that is the sight. i used his head flange too. its a little weird looking b/c its more or less just a rectangle...however the back side of the flange is beveled....it matches the head perfecctly, then bevels into a bit "0" that matches up to the mcmaster bends perfectly.

the guy i deal with there actually is who told me about mcmastercar and told me i could get the stuff cheaper at mcmaster....not too many places are willing to do that, i thought that was really cool of him. he says he just sells that stuff primarily for the "kits" and sometimes if you need just one or 2 peices and your ordering some flanges...its easier to just pick them up from him.

they do offer wholesale accounts also, but there is some sort of a "buy in" i forget how much it was though.
