Locked my door and now it won't open whether it's locked or unlocked!
WTF? What gives.
I remember someone having this problem not too long ago.
I locked my door (rear passenger; no keyhole) and then shut it.
Then I went to unlock it and open it, and nothing happens. I can hear the lock mechanism 'unlock', but the door still won't budge. It's like it just doesn't go far enough to fully unlock the door.
This is on my new red car, and since it's the rear door I can't even manually use the key.
Ideas? I can't really take off the doorpanel without cutting it to shreds, which is something I most definitely do not want to do.

It sounds like an actuator rod might have come loose, and nothing much is going to happen until you take the door panel off. A locksmith can hopefully get it open for you from inside the door. Good luck.
