I currently have a 00 civic si and i am looking into purchasing a vtec controller. Would it be worth my while to install 390cc or 450cc DSM injectors in my car. Do I need the resistor box for this application. The SI is a non-boosted engine.

 

Why do you need such big injectors ? Turbo ?

If you're n/a... stick w/ the stockers unless you have some major mods.

And just for your knowledge, yes, you'd need a resistor box for the dsm's.

 

I was figuring that the 390cc injectors with a fields vtec controller set for -30% would turn them into about 270-300cc and that would be a nice little performance gain while using a throttle body spacer with plans of upgrading to internal mods and eventually a turbo app. Then I would already have the injector setup needed.

It doesn't work the way you're thinking....just do the injector swap when the time calls for it.

I mean, why not install the Fields controller and just up the fuel %?
