Default NSX DOHC

i know the NSX has DOHC, but it is a V6 and since i dont know anything bout V engines, i was wondering if it had 2 cams per 3 cylinders, or just 1 per set of 3 cylinders....im not a noob for 4cyl, just a noob for V6

Dual overhead cam usually denotes two.

Yeah, he's asking, I think, if its two cams per head (I assume the NSX engine uses two heads, since its a V6) or if each head has only 1 cam

In which case, I believe that its two per head (per 3 cylinders)

There are two per head. The best way of "dumbing" it down would be this: picture two 3 cylinder engines at an angle that both share one crankshaft. Each 3 cylinder engine needs a head. Each head has DOHC's. One cam controls the intake valves, one controls the exhaust valves.
