Default 98 honda civic coupe, what air intake is best suited?

this is my forst ever jap car, as soo as i saw this honda civic coupe i fell instantly in love. i am now considering putting in an air intake system. i have asked many people about this but with little help. some suggest gettig an induction kit from k & N but some say a cold air intake system would be better.

i have a 1590cc civic coupe summer special. its a 16 valave single overhead cam. the throttel boddy is facing upwards, as to many i have facing down wards. all info and help would be greatly appreciated

if your into brand get the aem, injen, or or k&n

as for the cold air intakes, its really up to you.

i personally have a cheap one on there, that's because my turbo will be going on there soon

hmm well i know a few people who have k & n filters they give a great roar, but i heard that performance wise there not all that great, some say that getting a cold intake system about 120 - 160 notes, will give you better perfomance.

the cold intake system will sit just in front of your radiator and thus gain cooler air, rather than the filter being in the engine bay collecting warm engione heat.....

hmm well mine dont have a turbo and i really want performance and a raer. .......any more suggestions

thats my motor if you can suggest any decent non drastic modifactions that will make it an eye catcher im all ears...... chers

an intake will only do so much, if you looking for major power it would be a turbo

Stock airbox with k&n or other high flow panel filter, and then smooth bend pipe from airbox to TB (2.5" diameter)

I heard the jet propelled/mouse wheel (rodent not included) ice hot intake system w/ a samoflange (also has the new state of the art Antispasmatic Switch, ***) was an incredable investment. You can find 'em at "hondadisgrace.com"

you should get a K&N or AEM cause they give out good horsepower

you've just gotta look around. I got mine for about $300. Call APC or something, they might have some left although they're a really hot item right now since taillights are out.

I saw an AEM V2 the other day, that thing is frickin burly!

$300 for an intake, seems to pricey for me; I say screw the intake, use the money to buy a performance cam and a K&N drop in filter. More power and a cleaner looking engine bay.

I don't sense sarcasm, but hope there was some!
