Default EMC Collision, review? Fremont, CA

Anyone know someone who's had work done at EMC Collision on Albrae in Fremont/Newark, CA? I'm considering getting my car repainted (someone parallel parked INTO me) by them and they seem to be a good shop esp. considering the local BMW & Lexus dealer referred them as their local body shop. The other option is always M2 Collision Care Center which I know will do a good job. But they more than likely will not work with me in regards to get OEM parts on the car as Farmers Ins. Group only uses cheap Taiwan made parts if available and M2 is contracted under Farmers. I want my car to have OEM parts since if their customer crushes OEM, you're paying for OEM!

Though they should be good, esp considering their estimate is the highest overall, I just want to know if anyone has had experience there as nothing turned up on the web searching for them. I did a search on here and it seems that no one has used them and posted as of yet.

Take it to the Acura dealership in Los Gato's. They have a Bodyshop. Only dealership that I know of that has one. Quality work. Best I've seen. Definitely check it out.

I've been to EMC for my Lexus RX300. This was recently too. It was a minor bumper job. They did a very good job. No orange peel or blemishes at all. They do all high end cars and I think that they do better work then M2. I was about to go to M2 because my allstate recommended that I go there but they actually lied to me in my face and so I just went to EMC. Overall I am very satisfied with the work. EMC

M2 did a bit of shabby work on my friends cavalier . Had the GSR repaired at EMC before great work. Pricey though if its coming out of your pocket but they don't do things half *** either.

The person who hit me (I wasn't in the car when I was hit) insurance company will be paying for the damages. While the car is in the shop I'm going to get the rear bumper resprayed as well. The prices for the work that I'm getting done is almost negligable (less than $100). Looks like EMC will get the call then. Thanks everyone!

Just as a quick update, I got the work done and the only thing that I like about it is that the paintwork seems to be of good quality. Everything else sucked.

Overall Grade: D+

They couldn't install my front bumper correctly, the alignment was all jacked up. They said there was no adjustment, I ended up having to take it off myself and realigning it myself. While the bumper was installed improperly it was rubbing, chips the paint, they blame me for it.

Also, they don't install the under carriage back on the car correctly, they don't align the headlights correctly, and they leave a few stripped bumper mounts in so my turn signals are hanging out within a week. There were a few cracked connectors, I had to rag on them to replace them. It was an insurance job for God's sake! Get what needs to be replaced, replaced!

Lastly, they used some really stupid aftermarket clips on the rear bumper lip. So while they install the rear lip, they press up a little bit on the lip and it pushes though to the paint. I don't notice this because I picked up the car in the rain, I bring it back early the next week (I had driven the car maybe 10 miles) and they say that it's because I kicked up a rock into the lip. Even though I have mud guards all around. In the end it wasn't worth the extra money to go with these people. I end up with a chipped and damaged paint job and I end up having to do a bunch of labor myself only to find out they went cheap on A LOT of parts (connectors, screws, clips missing everywhere). Overall I can't recommend these guys at all. I will not be going back to these guys in the future as everything is like pulling teeth to get any of it done.
