Default Just got a 90 Civic Hatchback

Hey guys. I usually drive a 97 Civic but picked up a 90 Civic Hatch today. The car has 180k. The body is perfect and the car has a huge folder of all documents for everything ever done to the car. I picked it up for 700 and am replacing suspension (included in the car) and exhaust. Is that a good price? the car is in great shape

That is a great price as long as there is no rust or major mechanical problems. Typically ed civics go for that with a blown motor or no motor at all. Nice find and great price.

It is nice to see that people still keep track of what they do to their cars. You got very lucky there specially for 700 bucks. Plus if the body is in great shape, thats an even better reason to get it. Now, what do plan on doing to it? beater? project car? And also, std, dx or si?

Yea I think it will be a good car. It's the basic std model. 5spd. I started it up this morning (first morning here ) and it fired right up now problems. The suspension needs a little work but the guy included 4 shocks/strut full assemblies. I'm not sure where he got them or the condition but they look real good. There also is no muffler. There was an aftermarket Fart-Can that rusted off. So I will be putting some money in it. I put my stock 14's on with brand new Hankook snow tires from my 97 civic. I plan on using the car as a daily driver. I will post some pics but I dont have a hosting service anyone know of a free site?

yea I'm excited about it. I think when the 97 hits the roads in the spring I may do something with this.

one thing about it is the brake pedal goes to the floor. the car will stop but i def dont want to drive it on the road like that. the front brakes seem ok. not sure about the rear. i guess i should replace all brakes but i was wondering if maybe i could get by with bleeding them..
