Default head swap

I have an 88 DX sedan and i want to give it a lil more pep.
My final plans for the car are to do a junk yard turbo with either a 14b or a t25.

I was thinking of using the head i have from a 95 dx on my 88 bottem end.
will this give me much more power? what head gasket should i use.

You did mpfi swap already?.right?
Just use a si cam on your stock dx motor..
and Get a d16y8 intake manifold and throttle body..

I think that would give you better power then a 95 dx head,,

i will be doing an MPFI swap, still collecting parts for that.

i was thinking of going with a larger TB and the Y8 intake, never thought of the cam though. i'll go that route.

thanks much for the info!

it's been a good while since i put an SI cam into a dx motor, but there are somethings that i kinda remember having to do when i did put it in. Now i put an si cam into a dx motor but i was also using the si cam gear. (don't know off the top of my head if there is a difference between the si and dx cam gear) now when i did that the timing was off a little and i had to either retard or advance the timing 2 teeth on the cam gear. again it's been a good while since i put an SI cam into a dx motor so i don't remember if it needed to be advanced or retarded but i remember for a fact that it was two teeth. the timing was still a little off but not as bad as if i had gone with three teeth on the cam gear.

sorry i couldn't be more precise, but again it's been a while. hope that helps you out if you decide to put in the SI cam. oh and if you use the y8 intake manifold you can use a b-series throttle body since you want a bigger one.
