This ESX/WRX Subaru performance vehicle is the fastest police car in the U.S.
It produces 345 horsepower to the tires and with all wheel drive, it takes off like a jet on aircraft carrier.
A quarter mile performance of high 11’s as it sits. And on all wheel dyno at 7200 RPM it turns a top speed of 145 MPH. Not too shabby for a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder motor.
This vehicle is used on patrol and is shown at local schools, drag strips, and car shows.
Whether it’s at the drag strip or on a road course Subaru is second to none…

This guy on the left with the pony tail is Joe McCarthy, President of Prototype Racing. He swapped B series into Lotus’ because he thought the original motor sucked. He said that it only puts 140 to the wheel ( if memory serves ) that a B engine will blow it away. In any case, it took him 7 weeks to put in the K20 into the hard top Lotus.
I told him I like B16A the best because it’s a masterpiece. That no engine in the world can surpass the B16A.
So he refuted by saying, well at the time it was made that’s true. Now, there’s something better. The B16 is a dinosaur, but I agree with you that it’s still one of the greatest motors when Honda first introduced it.
Would you believe that 2 ½ years ago, a Lotus retailed for $37k?
Now it retails for $72k ( so says Joe )
Hawt damn. I should’ve gotten one these

If there was one vehicle i could buy, it'd be the Dodge Slingshot concept car.
Don't mind the numbers i was trying to re-arrange them but in the process i grew tired.

Joe McCarthy came to the Eibach Honda-tech meet with one of his cars. He's also a member here. You do know that there's a company out in Europe that first put b series type-r into an Lotus? It was done in 2001 I believe.
"I told him I like B16A the best because it’s a masterpiece. That no engine in the world can surpass the B16A"
Blah.. typical honda newb. I hope you know that the b series engine design came from toyota 4AG in 1984. Take both engine apart and see for yourself. If you ask honda, they won't tell you jack.
