Preloading omnipowers
today i preloaded my coilovers but they seem to be way too stiff. The procedure was basically moving the spring and perch up as high as possible with the nut flush with the top of the stud. Next i adjusted the coilovers to the desired height and finally tightened down the nut with all my force.
The problem i think was tightening it too much with the spring as high up as possible. I spoke to omniman about it and he said only .5 inch of preload is needed. So i was thinking of loosening the nut to about .5 from the top? What do you guys think?

Those coilovers are pretty stiff though. most likely you got the 10k/8k kit? Thats a pretty stiff ride..
Compared to like some Tein SS's where they are like 8k/6k or even with spring rates as low as 3k to make it as close to stock as possible.

i just preloaded them because the instructions said so. I'll try to remove the preload and see what happens.

The sad part is that a majority of the "coilover" owners on this board probably doesn't even know what corner weighting is and even if they do, only a fraction of those ever get it done.
