because he should try using that thread to learn how to search. i am not out to up my post count if i was i would reply to every thread everytime someone says something. PLUS i got chewed out for asking that same question on here for not searching
shortblock is oilpain, block, pistons, rods crank ect.... no head included.
Long block would normally be engine from block to head. But from what i have seen with most import stuff you have to be sure and ask, because some of the time the long block will just be the engine, but lots of times it will include Intake manifold, TB, alternator, Power steering pump, dizzy, exhaust manifold, lots of stuff.
Even if it says just long block i would ask what comes with it. Most of the time they don't want to take the effort to remove all that extra stuff, it is just easier to sell it as it comes out of the car. Labor = highcost= them not making that much. with the engine together they make more, have less labor costs, and can sell you an apparently better product.
