is this a good combo to use ....
i was reading and looking around on the internet and the catalog i had laying around and i came across this combo that i've think it would work ....i was thinking about buying a shock and strunts from a KYB Agx and a lowering springs from Neuspeed. All this cost me around 650.00 to get these so what you guys suggest ? i think this combo would help me get rid of the wheel gap and rides good.
AGX are pretty much terrible. if you plan on using stiff springs, or even driving aggressively - you'll blow them out within a year or two.
i've already shot 2. Koni's, here i come.

Depends on what is "reasonable" to you.
For a strict budget of $650, I'd buy a set of the Omnipower full coilovers. They're stiff though, and even the softer Street kit (560f/448r) won't ride all that pleasant on a light G4 Civic, so these probably aren't what you're looking for. They're made with handling being a priority; good bang-for-the-buck.
Maybe Tein Basics (448f/224r) would be more up your alley. They're made for street driving with comfortable ride being a priority. They can be found for $750, or less in many cases.
Oh my God, I want to vomit . . . I just recommended a Tein product.
If you can afford to spend more (in the area of $1000), get Ground Control coilovers with Koni Sport dampers and the GC upper mounts. You can choose whatever spring rates you want, in 25 lbs-in increments. Default rates are 350f/250r.
There's nothing really much better than GCs with Koni Sports (in various states of modification) until you get into the really high-dollar budget area (as in $1800-2000+), so I won't go there.

you can get the adjustable tokico illumina struts with the built in coilovers. they rode pretty nice on my 92 civic vx hatch. they werent too bouncy and you can adjust the stiffness. i think i paid $700 shipped for them.

its not the end of the world or anything
it just means you'll probably have to replace them someday...

if you follow the KYB AGX recommended instructions for ride height and spring rate they are great to have.
I have a Ground Control 375f and 450r with AGX struts. I'm a bit over the recommended spring rate, but when you follow the height instructions which is no lower then 1.5"s they work REALLY well. i've had mine on since around april or so..... 8-9 months now..... no leaks, they perform just like the day i put them on. I've beaten them up on track days and have used them daily for these past 8-9 months as well. i'll buy them again when if i blow them out in the next few years.
my .02 cents

Wow I'm glad I read this. I just bought a set of Neuspeed Sport springs and was getting ready to buy some AGXs.

Ehhh - I bought the Koni Reds for my '91 Accord. I'm not impressed with them. For one, they're a royal pain in the *** to reset - you've got to remove them to adjust them, which sucks *****. And yes, they're lifetime warrantied, but you have to remove them, send them back to Koni, and wait 6-8 wks to get them back. Not sure about you, but I don't really have that kind of time for my daily driver to be down.
The big upside to Koni, as I see it, is Lee Grimes. He's a CRXer, and he's a member of this site, and from all accounts he's just an all-around awesome guy to deal with.
I'm not saying I won't buy Konis again, but I doubt I'll be buying the Koni Reds again. I had problems and issues with them from day one. One of the spring perches collapsed, sidelining my car while I waited for Koni to ship out another one, and I've just never been very happy with the ride I get out of the things. I like the Tokico Illuminas much better, especially for the money and the ease of adjustment. But Tokico won't custom-valve them for you, either...
If you're going to invest the money in the Koni's, go ahead and get the yellows, and have them revalved if you're going to run the car lowered.

I have Koni 8040's and Neuspeed race. It rides stiff and is decent, but man does it understeer. From what CRX Lee has told me the Neuspeed springs are heavily biased towards the front. So i plan on running the Omni coilover springs with my konis to bring the rates up and stiffen the rear up to get the car to ratate better. If that doenst work Ill be buying a ST rear sway...
