Yea so I'm driving along tonite about 70, and my car just shuts off... So I push in the clutch and start it up while moving and it starts right back up. Then suddenly the rpms start to drop and get stuck at 2k so i pull in a parking lot and it dies once i stop. it had some problems starting up but then it ran fine the whole way home. i thoguht it was maybe my amp shutting off my fuel pump but i just got a new alt about 3 months ago and my amp is only 300 watt. never the less i took out the fuse and i still have this problem... any ideas? im at a loss here... yes i know this car is beat and pushing 235k miles so that may be the problem in its self but im gettin a new car soon but this one still has to last me a bit so cut it some slack... its a geezer!

Sounds like maybe a fuel pump going bad. You'll have to check for spark and fuel pressure...

 

yea so do i hopefully i can get this crx that isnt to far from me. i think it may be the fuel pump but i put a new one on when i changed the alt as well... i dunno ill just ride it out till it dies.
