And what would be a safe redline if my usdm itr motor has crower valve springs and retainers?

USDM 8400
JDM 8600

Bottom end balanced to just over 10K if I member correctly. With that valvetrain you could prob hit 10K, but 9.5K is easy no prob and I dunno WHAT cams (besides the VTEC killer cams) that go beyond that for peak power by much more than a few hundred RPM.... If you have the cams and compression to back it up is the question.

 

your redline is determined based where your torque stops making power. The vavle springs and retainers wont help your torque, so your redline will be at 8400. But you will be able to take it up to 9k once in a while if thats what your asking.

 

The redline is 12,500 RPM on downshifts from fifth to second gear.
