Hondata datalogging help please

Default Hondata datalogging help please

Well i dont know if there is something wrong since iam not starting the car becuz i cant at the moment.But i downloaded the hondalogger program hoooked up my hondata to my p28 ecu and the serial cable to a usb/serial adapter to my labtop since my cpu has no serial port and when i plug everything up turn my key forward and hit connect on the hondalogger program so it connects to the ecu i have nothing????Is this normal ???

Try this: Go to settings and then the recording tab. Make sure the COM port is correct. Also click on the ECU tab in between the Error Codes and G Force tabs. Make sure the OBD1 V3.0 is selected.

ok i tried that i dont know what com it is there is com1 com2 all the way to 8 how do i know which one it is also is my led on the hondata supose to blink every 5 sec or so

If the blue box is blinking it is because they are no communicating. Maybe you loaded the wrong ECU program?? Hondata has troubleshooting of why it blinks on you (on their website). Try doing it over again. If you hook the serial cable straight into your computer then the settings should be on COM 1. Try redoing the program and let me know.
