99 honda civic ex. i was driving and my car seemed to be sputtering or misfiring. I kept on driving thinking it would go away. Then a spark plug flew out of my engine. it was still attatched to the plug but was just resting atop the hole. i was like 20 feet away from napa at this time when spark plug flew out of hole. I drove into nappa while spark plug was out. it sounded like this. WHAP WHAP WHAP.......I went into nappa and screwed the spark plug back in. It didnt go in that well, threads of head might be stripped but it went in and i started my car. It seems to be running well, no wierd noises or drop in power. But i am throwing a check engine light. What should i do?

 

read the code (see sticky at top). then just reset the ecu. it'll probably go away.

 

my car is a 99 civic ex. Sticky at top is for 92-95

read the thread: there's a link to obd2 codes (you'll need to borrow a code reader from an autoparts store). the codes indicated by the flashing check engine light are the same for obd2 cars, as is the procedure for jumping the 2pin connector
