civic plug wires
hi all. new member here. i was worried i might have damaged my sparkplug wires. i was pulling one of the wires to check for wear, but instead of disconnecting the plastic tube that attaches to the plug, I pulled a strip of rubber out of the top of the tube, and the connector stayed attached. i was worried i might have ripped the wire out, but i saw no metal wire inside the rubber. so i shoved the rubber back into the hole, and reattached the cap. the car started and ran normally, i dont think it has a cylinder out. did i rip the wire or not? i cant decide...
thoughts?

You would know if you were missing on a cylinder. It woudn't run 'normal'.
If you decide to replace the wires, just get stock OEM NGK.
I say run with it and see if it still works fine.

I noticed the above post says to use OEM NGK wires.
What about the NGK wires they sell on sparkplugs.com (or whatever that site is).
NGK Premium wire set 9486 HE76 $49.16
The pic shows them as blue. Will these work as well as ones bought from honda? They sell em for like 75bux a set.

and what IYO makes them better? Is there actually a physical difference besides being black? Cause they are 25 dollars more, thats alot for a color choice.

i'll second this.
i got a few friends/co-workers at honda dealers who seen too many aftermarket wires including ngk's that goes bad and has yet to see one set of oem wires go bad. even afer 60k+ miles

honestly i don't know what the difference is technicaly, but everybody i run with uses the stock black wires and we're all running 400whp+ daily driven cars. just my opinion.

OEM Honda wires are made by Sumitomo, not NGK.

first off, its a cable, not a wire.. its literally a piece of string coated with copper so it wont produce a radio frequency, thats why theyre so sensative to bending. i dont see why you would be checking for wear? how could they possibly wear?
