Do you want to d this to fit a frontmount?
I did this to my old hatch. I did it becuase i needed room for my intercooler and i wanted as little extra weight as possible. I just cut off the two ends that hold the bumper lights where the bumper support bolts to the car. I left nowhere to connect in the center but it didnt even make a difference. As long as you have the ends out at the corners and the next 2 mounts inside of those you will be fine.

dude, ive never seen anything like that on the front of a crx...and ive had like 5. my first suggestion would be take it to a body shop and get them to either pull out and repair that front end, or have them put on a new front radiator support. but whatever u do. good luck!
the pics make that support look like it is bolted on. if it is, I'd say you'd be okay to take it off as long as you have a strut bar (which it looks like you do), because from the looks of it, the only purpose is to brace the car (which doesn't make much sense).
edit: so that mounts the front bumper eh. look into bolting the front bumper underneath the headlights and inside the wheelwells.
