how much those run for???

the effect is made by mounting the camera somehow to/in the car. tripod, suction mount, window mount, etc. just drag the shutter to get the motion effect, and whatever is still will remain still. the real deal is too hard to achieve through photoshop.
guaranteed the car was standing still and all they did was manipulate the image to look as if it were moving....
and if this is true, I have no respect for the picture...sorry, just blunt

bingo! That blue civic was done at a 2-5mph turn.
Photoshop was used to fix the reflection on the bumper.
Evs-One, you're wrong.

Uhmm... could be a technique called "panning" which is moving the camera along with the same direction as the car. Panning in conjunction with a slow shutter speed would enable the photographer to take a photo with the car moving fairly slow but giving it the effect of it moving fast.
....just a possibility. If i was a poor photographer and couldn't afford these doodad like a plunger tripod or wutever its called, I would do it that way i just described.
I duno... I took photography 101 but I dont know ****. Just throwing out what knowledge I have so advanced photographers correct me if im wrong. Anyway that pic looks pretty ameture. If you took 1 quarter of photography classes then you'd be able to turn out pictures way way better then that.

The car was definately moving, it's not just a photoshop trick.
Most photographers like to keep their techniques under wraps, and Roaring Turtle is no exception. He has some serious talent

are the night shoots of freeways (where all the cars are a huge blur of lights) acheived simply by using a tri-pod and a long shutter ?
you guys are trippin. im tellin you that picture is hella easy to re-create. I'm really surprised that you guys would think of something outrageous as using the suction tripod and photoshopping the bars out... Slow shutter speed causes moving objects causes exaggeration of movement in final photographs. Using the slow shutter speed PLUS panning (moving camera in same motion as the car) will make the car look still, but anything else moving blurry.
simple
Now you try with your digicam
if i had one i'd give you a bunch of examples.
it ain't no secret technique. its a widely used technique.

Yes.. If you take a still picture of cars moving on a freeway with a say.... 1/30th of a second then everything will seem super fast if you used a shutter speed of 1/1000ths of a second then all the cars will appear to be still
here i found something for you guys

if you guys are into this type of stuff foreal then I would take a photography class at ur local community college or something. It's a pretty fun class and you learn HELLA **** just by doing it for 1 quarter.
