JDM ITR header question please help!!!
I got a JDM ITR header that i'm going to use on my ITR and the cat is bolting up i'm wondering if anybody uses this header and if there using a test pipe or a different cat or whatever...i'm also using the stock exhaust just so you know if that matters...let me know if you can help me out thanks
Stock cat is for stock exhaust manifold...
Your going to need a custom built cat for your 4-1 header and stock cat back.
Let me suggest, SMSP for a Cat, he will buit it right to your needs.
Seach the board for SMSP.

I have put it on but the stock cat didn't work cause it didn't bolt up right or something...and then we used a cat from a b16 civic SI that worked for a while but then it broke off the flange....i think i'm gonna go with the test pipe from omnipower....i don't know why it didn't work with the stock cat it just didn't line up right

Stock cat is not the right length, nor the right diameter.
Stock cat is not the right length, nor the right diameter.
okay...listen...
JDM ITR header has an 2.5" Collector or whatever you call it... (correct me if I'm wrong)
You need a Cat that can Connect onto that. Like an aftermarket cat or like me OEM JDM CAT
You can't USE a CIVIC cat because those are way to SMALL and will not connect onto the JDM header.

Why wouldn't the stock cat be the right length? The JDM header and the USDM header are the same length. Diameter is another story...

He's using a CIVIC cat.
Not a stock R cat. They are both different. Correct me if I'm wrong again.
or am I just confuzzled now?

not to sound mean but this is why you do your research before purchasing and/or attempting installation. as mentioned above, you will need a 2.5" cat or test pipe.

I did do the research also on here but couldn't find anything then he just asked for some help... just go and get the test pipe from omnipower its your best bet...and the reason why he used the civic cat was because it was shorter so it almost fit perfetcly...I did it too when i had my ITR
