Transmission shifts hard when moving, but not at stand still.
It started not too long ago, probably about 140k mileage on the car. When I'm not moving it shifts fairly smooth, but once I get moving when I shift it goes halfway then I have to push it fairly hard to put it into gear. I checked the oil and it was full, I also have an edelbrock short shifter on it. Any thoughts on what could be the problem?
check the master and slave cly. and bleed the system. If that dosent work, maybe your clutch is on its way out???
EDIT: This just happend to mine, and ive done everything but replace the clutch. Has gotten past the point where it was tough to shift to where now sometimes i cant shift while the car is moving/on

Got a new shifter, it actually helped a bit. I'll probably still think about getting a new clutch sometime though.
Replaced my EdelBrock with a B&M, B&M seems a Lot better then Edelbrocks shifter.

the clutch is not fully disengauging. thats causes a drag when your moving and loads the gears in the trans. even though you have your foot all the way down
on the clutch. to correct it usualy its wear related and you need a new disc, pressure plate and a resurfaced flywheel. other things to check out are the linkage and input shaft splines. the clutch disc may be binding on the splines of the shaft causing that drag. if your installing your own clutch remember to lightly coat the input shaft splines and the splines on the clutch disc with anti-siez. ohh the other thing is that the pilot bearing/bushing if your car has one, could have possibly broke or started to bind causing the drag, if thats the case you might as well replace the clutch while your under there. regaurdless your gonna need a clutch kit. which is gonna solve all of the theory crap i just told you. so ya just thought you might need to know that stuff for diagnosis reasons. well good luck with it.

Nice info, definitely gives me something to think about. I saw some good Exedy kits with flywheel, Guess i really will be getting all that stuff together. Probably won't be put in till it warms up from the single digits though.
ya those Exedy clutch kits are real nice, but ive heard that their a little jerky. ive had good experience with ATC also, not in a honda it was a subaru but it has a nice solid feel but it didnt kill your neck.
