Default Civic radiator on ITR, keep the AC?

Story goes:
I'm parting out my civic in order to get rid of one car and to make way for a family beater.

JDM bling: I bought a spoon radiator, and etc. fitting and others don't seem to be a problem but I want to keep the A/C. What do you do with the compressor/fan and others?

I did some searches, all I could find are people that just did away with A/C, PS, etc. Someone help? Ideas? Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong because I may be on crack here.

I think if you go with an aftermarket fan company say Maradyne, you have the option of double stacking on a half radiator like that.

I guess I'm confused about your question. More info please!

Brandon

best to say: i AM A NEWB at this:

Well there's 2 fans on integra radiators. I've seen ITR/Integra people use a civic radiator for their turbo cars. I wanna put that radiator on my ITR but I don't know what to do with the other fan. Would I need to to keep A/C?

Why not use that radiator, and use the civic condensor for the AC. If you look at the Civic Engine bay you will see it looks almost like 2 radiators. When had a swap in mine, I just used the B16A radiator out of an 2000 SI, and kept the stock AC stuff. If you do this you can use your Spoon radiator.

You can use the A/C without the condenser fan.

I heard that taking out the fan was an bad idea, from a Honda-Tech ie dealership. If it wasn't needed they wouldn't put it in right

I agree, but after 20 MPH it doesn't help anyway. I ran my A/C without that fan, I just used it judiciously in stop and go traffic.

Also, the other fan seems to turn on anyway when turning on the A/C.

you need to move the bottom radiator mounts...

drill out the spot welds and either reweld or use screws

there are lots of topics to use a dc2 radiator in a civic

btw looks like an eg to me

no offense but that's quite a stupid idea. The condenser needs constant airflow when the a/c is on. If you don't mind not having a/c when the car is not moving, then remove the fan...

I would do it right and just install a low profile pusher on the front of the condenser.

*shrug* Turbo and C&R Radiator were in the way. Zero room for a fan. (Not even a pusher, oil cooler in the way).

Better than no A/C. It worked. No chance I was going to a half rad.

Well I'm not gonna go turbo, that's double the maintenance. Someone mentioned getting a the other side of a Civic Si radiator?

I sort of get the idea of that but I would like to see how it was done.

Well you use the Spoon radiator. Then the Civic SI condensor/fan for the AC. It is sepearte units. I don't have any pics, but would fit perfect in the EG. I had it done, but unfortunalty sold the car. Works fine. Just search for an EG with a swap.

so, basially borrow the idea of an EG with a swap that is still retaining A/C?

I'm kinda lost...it seems like people are starting to think I wanna put the radiator in a Civic?

Oh I see, you have the Spoon radiator, for a EG, but want to put it in the DC, but still use the AC?

The pic of the EG engine bay made it a little confusing.

Well do the same, might take a little fab but not much.
