new rim+tires my handling went down the shitter, why??
i went from 195 50 15 fed super steel 535 on itr wheels to 205 50 16" same make and model tires on prelude wheels
i have more ground clearane now
car looks teh gey>
handling seems horrible, when i turn the wheels it almost feels like my car is floating before the wheels turn
why would this happen when they are the same tire?

If the wheels were the same width...... and the new tires are now taller, especially if they are 'cheap' with soft sidewalls, this will happen.
well the tires on the itr wheels were the same 50 series profile, the itr tires and prelude tires are the same cheap tires, the prelude tires are even wider
thats why i am confused

No, but a 205/50 is taller than a 195/50 and putting a wider tire on the same width wheel will generally induce some sloppiness in the steering.

there's your problem right there
check your tire pressures - but otherwise the floaty feel is due to the increase in sidewall height. you were used to a much stiffer ride with the other tires.

I bet if you measure the profile of the first tire and the second set you will find that you have increased the amount of rubber between the rim and the ground.
there for you have added more material to flex while driving... Shittier handling
As for your statement that the tires are the same... Hardly. You not only have added more sidewall but you most likely added weight.
You might have wanted to read up on the Plus up sizing, It's available on tire rack. Way too much to type.

prelude wheels are also much heavier than ITR wheels, keep that in mind
but it's definetely the increased hieght of the tire
