Default Question for those with camber kits

When i installed my progress camber kit ( 53.1002 ), i neglected to put 4 short steel spacers on each stud ( 1 per stud )

Illustration 3

As a result of this, both tires are slanting inwards. I can only guess this is so because i didn't place those spacers on studs.

The question is, overtime will my camber be adversely affected? Or just the tires alone ie wear out faster etc.?

I was told i can just go to home depot and get spacers from there. The problem is, i dont know the measurement of spacers i'm looking for. If i do go that route, will that be reliable? I don't want to cut corners here.

Thank you in advance

*note*
if you cant see picture blame it on imagestation

Photoshop that image so we're clear on what spacers you're talking about. I see "washer", "bushing", and "sleeve", but no "spacer".

I wouldn't drive the car w/visible positive camber.

Sorry i don't have the program nor do i know how to use it.

As you can see in illustration 3 there's a diagram of brackets and on top of that is stud. Around that same stud should be spacer.

I've you're talking about the rear camber, of course it is going to have more negative camber if you don't put the washers in... That is how you adjust the camber. More washers = more positive camber.

he is speaking of the front camber kit
there is a gold ring/sleeve/spacer call it what u want, some have a slot cut out and it goes on the stud for the front camber kit

SiR-ed8, in ur case they slant inward meaning u need an alignment, you could simply fix this ur self by adjusting ur tie rods in more to make the wheel str8er

i was wondering how the gold ring/sleeve/spacer actually goes on, for example does it go into the body of the car to act like a sleeve for the stud to sit in or does it go between the body of the car and the camber kit to act like a spacer ?
can any 1 clear this up for me?
and do u really need it in there, and what happens if its not installed?

If it was not neccessary it would not be included in the kit.

well it was late and i was not thinking further, if they are butterflying then he needs to readjust the camber kit, if the wheel points to the left or right like the steering wheel is turned then he can adjust the tie rods

how necessary is it ? your reply obviously doesnt help neither of us explaing why and where it would go then it would help

WTF is a camber kit for if you end up with too much negative camber after installing it incorrectly? If the parts are in the kit I'd use them. Then after it's installed you must get an alignment so the camber can be adjusted to whatever you desire.

Oh and just because you have a term for it doesn't make it right. It's called negative camber.

the progress camber kit can only be adjusted 2 different differents, it had a set setting on it, you can either use this 1 or that , 1 is for a slight adjustment and the other adjusts alot more , i assume u use the 1 that adjusted the slightest, choosing either 1 will affect your "negative camber" try moving the stud to the other hole there for it will push the wheel outward more making less " negative camber" and making the wheel straight

all yall do is like to argue and see who is right, i still dont see yall answering how the gold ring goes on, i noe how a camber kit works i noe how to install it untill up to that ring, ive install many camber kits with and without that ring and wondered wtf is it there for and where the F it goes, they all came out fine doing what they are suppose to do
i dont care if there is a term for something u dont know and i might call it

there are terms people use for many things out there right or wrong, or just wat it is, some people understand and some dont, you dont have to correct me when i know what im talking about, try posting some helpful information instead of b/s arguing like 75% of honda-tech

what he has

example of ring on stud

I don't know what a butterfly is.

Anyway, I admit we installed it wrong. Vehicles lowered between 1.0-1.5, studs should be placed in hole 2 ( that's what we did ).

It should have been in hole 1 for my vehicle is lowered between 1.5-2.3 ( 2.0 ).

Later today I'll scan a picture of the assembly diagram.

Here is the DIY write up.

For those wishing to follow what we did. DO NOT neglect to place 4 short steel sleeves ( spacers ) on those studs!!!

^^^^ BIG MISTAKE

I can't blame the guys who helped me with it as they had no experience and was just trying to help a noob out.
