hey I got my oil changed today at a Honda dealer and they used Quaker State Oil. I thought they were suppose to use genuine Honda oil? I guess I'm just being picky.

Dealers are very shifty places, they will pinch pennies to save money. I read an article on here about some guy that worked in the parts department and the belts that were supposed to be "Honda" belts were just regular Gates belts you can get at any parts store.

honda dealers are not required to use honda oil, Management at the individual dealers make that call.

I didn't know you could bring your own oil to have them change it. That sounds nice, I think I'm gonna try that next time.

"genuine Honda oil" is just repackaged Mobil DriveClean. Big fukin deal. They're both just cheap oils. If you want good oil, buy a quality synthetic and have your dealer put it in for you.
