So i take the car to school this morning, and well i was in a hurry that i forgot to turn off the lights on my way to class. So the battery was dead when i got back, bummer. Imy friend came by to jump start it. But now only the radio, lights and stuff go on, but not the motor. Any thoughts on what it could be?

 

u probably just need a new battery. Sometime jump starting it wont even work if there's not enough juice in the battery.

Does it crank at all?

 

Yea thats what i'm assuming, a new battery. Nah the car doesnt crank at all, just a click.

 

I'd replace the battery.
we get cars in all the time at the shop i work in with the same problem.

the starter on my car is going bad and sometime it'll just click once when i turn the key. but since u said u drained the battery b/c the lights were left on, i'd go with getting a new battery first.

 

i would get a new battery i had the same problem i got it jumped with my friends and it still didnt want to start so i just bought a new battery and everything was perfect again ..

 

it seems as though your battery is 2 far gone so you should pull it out a charge it or go and buy a new one.

 

lol it wasnt the battery, or the starter. I didn't know that the old owner put a damn alarm on it, and it locked it from starting (i dont have the remote). So yea.. i found the blinking light, and started the ******. thx all
