Default Block Plate for CRX antenna...anyone have one?

My buddy just got one for his eg off the net, and its a H.O.P. part... But the site doesn't have one for EFs. My buddy paid $5, but when i called the honda dealer they said they had something like it, for $20.

Now i was wondering if anyone had one, or know what they came on...

thanks!

don't mean to sound like white trash but i would think that a piece of sheet metal, tin snips, and a drill could solve your problem.

I bought a block off plate from my local Honda dealer a few months ago because my antenna was leaking a lot and didn´t receive any radios signals at all. Gave mine away though when I shaved my antenna at the same as painting my car.

Got the Honda one. Only downside is that it's not the same shape as the actual antenna plate. it's more of a pointed oval. If you want it, let me know. You can have it for shipping cost. Made a c/f replacement so I don't need it anymore.

if i remember correctly, the carbon fiber piece was simply a one off piece that was hand made. it did look nice, but what ruined it in my opinion was that the maker did not counterbore the screw holes, so the screw heads were sticking out like frog eyes.

but yeah, if you taht dead set on getting a cover and cant find a factory one, then just carve one out of plastic or something.

i found one in the junkyard. just one of those gems that kept me coming back tothe picknpull...

sorry the pic quality is crap, but it's the best pic i have on hand. and yeah they do stick out like frog eyes, but it's still 100% better than having my antenna that wouldn't go down.

I prefer the weld and paint method but hey thats me.
Is the carbon on it thick? if it is you could sink the screws yourself.

that worked for me for awhile... until it rained and then got sunny and the glue got stuck to the paint... *****.

but, yeah, duct tape for those on a budget (or don't care, just want to cover the hole).
the antenna plug for those who aren't (or do care).

I got lucky enough that one came on my '91 DX. It was a one-owner car, and that owner had NEVER put a stereo or radio of any kind in that damn thing! It came with the original Honda radio blanking plate, too. I'll be holding on to both of those items, though, since they're so freaking hard to find anymore...

That's the best part about duct tape...you get the whole roll for just such disasters
