My GSR got stolen this morning...perfect opportunity for an 'R'...
Woke up this morning to go to school and found my car not parked where it usually is. It's probably stripped right now so I need to get a new car.
I have a couple of options, should I get an RSX Type-S or do some research and find an Integra Type R?
They're hard to find with low mileage, reasonable price, and as "stock" as possible, so that's why I'm learning toward an RSX Type-S.
What's your take on this?

Sorry to hear about the car. It almost sounds like you're happy it got stolen. If I remember correctly, you've been researching the ITR for a while now. Good luck finding one. There's a bunch in Classifieds.

If you were happy with the GSR you will be even happier with a Type S.
If your GSR got stolen, a Type R Will be stolen faster.

I'd wait a few days before I started looking for a new car. You don't want to find a car that you want, and get your hopes up, and then have the police call you and say they found your car.
I'm sad about my GSR but it's not overwhelming. I've been wanting to get an ITR or RSX-S for a while, my GSR is just getting too old. It has about 120,000 miles. It ran very good but I was unsure of its dependability over the next 4 years.
My insurance company told me to wait a few days to see if the police finds it. My hopes are that they don't find it because recovered DOHC VTEC cars are a very big mess.
I will definitely find a better place to park my new ride. But for now, I'm debating over the RSX Type S or Integra Type R, two excellent rides.

Hey Skafia,
You can buy my R, but you would have to fly out to the East Coast and drive it back. I have 33,300 miles though so you may consider that to high anyway.

...fwiw: the only one of the choices you mentioned that I would consider is the itr.
The others are a very distant 2nd. Just safeguard it well with pager alarm and garage.

Since your GSR got stolen, think about your new car. Will it also have that risk? An ITR will be 100x more attractive to steal compared to a GSR.

BTW i now drive and RSX-S after trying to own an R 2x
that sucks man. Hopefully you 'll find a R because we need more R owners on this board. R would be my pick if you find a better place to park it.

Sorry to hear about your car. Good luck on securing your next one. Buy a beater and wait for the new influx of cars coming our way...GT-R, Lancer Evo, Nissan Z, and possibly the Supra.
I wasn't too worried about my GSR getting stolen because of how old it is/was.
I am very aware of the dangers of the ITR and how it is a high risk car. But you can't live in fear all of your life can you?
33,xxx miles is not bad at all! If anybody has an ITR for sale within CA or bordering states, IM me!
I need a car NOW! I've been dreaming about the ITR for 2 years... I think the time has come...

well if you think how bad those thieves wanted to steal your GS-R...think about how much more they will want a Type-R! I would get a RSX Type-S dude...if you get an ITR I bet you it will be stolen also. If you can garage your next car...then go ahead and get an ITR...but otherwise RSX imo.
Black Dragon here is selling his '00 FBP ITR with only 9400 miles. NEVER raced...ever (all us other Dragons can vouch).
If you want to contact him, e-mail or IM me and I'll give you his e-mail. I'm trying to help him sell it. He bought a '99 M Coupe, so the R must go! He lives in Omaha, Nebraska like myself. A Black ITR wouldn't be a bad choice, it's much more low profile, unlike the CW or PY.

LOL. I'd like the see the fave of the thief after he discovered the motor was blown.

The car wasn't even fast either, just a stock GS-R motor in a 2600lb del sol, what's that maybe high 14s?
You seem happy enough, good for you. I'd be pissed. My 1989 Buick was broken into twice and I was so rediculously mad.... But whatever, If it were me, I'd go with an R for fun, but an RSX is more practical.
