roll cage
I would like to get a roll cage for my car. But i need to know where i can get one for my car, also i would like to get one that is light wieght but looks good. Can anyone give some insight.
I was thinking of a bolt in cage for daily use. CRXs scare me cause if I get hit I would be in a world of hurt. I dont plan on racing. But just plan on bracing the car for a t-bone collision.
If thecar scares you then there is something very wrong with your comfort level.
A roll cageis for track use not the street. If by some chance your head makes contact in an accident the results will NOT be pretty. I don't care if you use padding or not. For that matter it maynotbe legal in your state to haveone that is more than a 4-point (rear downtubes and hoop. Our CRX lives on a trailer because it is a race setupand the safety of the cage requires a hemet.
Drive safe-enjoy your car

i take it thats DOM tubing? i'm buying a Autopower Street roll bar and welding in the diaganol support and harness bar in my car. BTW is the Autopower bar for our cars 1.75in or 2in? 2in is required (according to NASA) for car weighing in at 2100Lb+ and for less then 2100Lb it's 1.75, i forget the thickness
