SORRY ABOUT HI-JACKING YOUR THREAD. First off good article, BUT what happens if you can not get one of the nuts loose? My nut closest to the motor will not come off. I broke the damn bracket trying to get it off last year. I bought an AEM fuel filter and still have it sitting in my garage because the damn but WILL NOT COME LOOSE. PB BLASTER, impact gun, nothing!

An impact could not get it off????? Are you sure you are turning the bolt in the correct direction?

There is a special socket for the task:

If your impact won't break it loose, you probably need a new impact..
But seriously, the bolt can be tight as hell..I usually grab hold of the
filter with a giant pair of Channel-locks #460 to keep the bracket
and firewall from flexing..

it just spun in the bracket with the impact. I never thought of channel locks to hold the filter from spinning ...damn, that fuel filter has been sitting there for about year now. I never thought of that. I will try on my next day off. thanks for the easy idea that I should have thought of long long ago
