i know alot of people that work at the dealer, at HT members... well, i was wondering if Acura sells a clutch kit... rather then buying each item seperatly.
cuz im not really looking to spend much, i just want to replace my clutch, and im contimplating going aftermarket replacement. (napa)
anyone buy a clutch KIT from honda latley? how much for OEM?

yeah, thats what i figured.. i'll be looking around.. keeping my options open. but i know at napa, you can get a clutch KIT... thats disk, plate, throw and piolt bearing. and for more, a reconditioned flywheel.. i might go this route, aftermarket, since its just a daily stock car.. nothing great.. so just work with it.
does anyone know if the dealer has a clutch KIT? the whole sha-bang-a-bang!

no the dealer doesent have a clutch kit ... get a exidy clutch kit they grab nice for stock applications ... pm me if you want me to order one for you (by the way oem uses exidy pressure plate)
i got my clutch kit off ebay....$152 shipped. comes with everything needed, clutch/pp/ bearing/alignment tool.... stock replacement, its a bump above stock. compared to at least $300 from the dealer.

Clutchcityonline is a great place to get Exedy clutches. If you're looking for a stock-like clutch I would go with the OEM replacement clutch from Exedy. It'll run you about $150. DEFINATELY stay away from a NAPA clutch. I got one for my MR2 awhile back and the thing was obviously rebuilt (and poorly done at that). The pressure plate was weak as hell in it and had zero clamping force. After I installed it and broke it in I could not spin the tires if I wanted to. I'm talking hold it at 7000 rpm and dumping it and it would just slip like a bitch. It was properly broken in also, I don't abuse my cars. I'd def go with the Exedy though.

and dont spend the money on the flywheel from them. If you are doing the clutch yourself pull your flywheel off and get it re surfaced, that way you know it will work fine when you drop it back in

i doubt its 302 installed... i looked it up through one of those honda parts online, and the cost is right around 310. i doubt Acura put it in for that much.
well, im leaning torwards Exedy.. i figurer around 150. give or take.. i just want a stock clutch.. nothing fancy. something durable, and reliable.
