The 2002 racing season is coming up soon and my 1993 Acura Integra Speedvision/NASA US Touring/Honda Challenge Car hasn’t been sold yet and it’s FOR Sale at a REALLY cheap price. It would be a great entry/intermediate level racecar that's READY TO RACE. At the same time, it's a VERY COMPETITIVE RACECAR for the Experienced Road Racer. It’s raced with the NASA US Touring Car series (finishing 2nd overall in 2000) and raced in TWO Speedvision Touring Car Races at Sears Pt. and Laguna Seca in 2001.

Man, I'm starting to feel bad for this guy. Somebody buy his car!
It looks like a screamin' deal. I'd buy it if I had the cash just to help him out.

The unfortunate reality is that race cars that are outdated or don't fit into a common class can become white elephants, but quick. When the IMSA Renault Cup folded its tents, I had a two year old Alliance with only a handful of races on it - I ended up selling it (after hanging on for two more years) for $1500. Of course, to be fair, it was a Renault!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but depending upon which DOHC VTEC that car has in it, it could be illegal for ITS and would be considered a hybrid.
More clearly, if it is a 94+ motor, I'm pretty sure that's not a legal IT update.

If I understand correctly the car isn't legal for anything but SVWC or ITE/SPU, where it wouldn't be competitive.
I'm sure if he posts this thing for sale 10 or 20 more times, someone will bite though.

To be a legal ITS car, it would have to lose the plastic windows and wing, and have the original engine (and pretty much everything else for that matter). If it does have an engine from anything other than a '92-93 Integra, then it is not only illegal for ITS, it is a Class 1 car for ECHC and is going to be fodder for some NSX.
It's not even technically listed in SVWC Touring - the only legal Integra is the '97+ R. Older, non-listed cars are often granted waivers to run a limited number of WC events to fill fields and give new folks a chance to get exposed to (and in) the series. I think the magic number is three races, if rumors hold.
Worse than that, it isn't even a legal ITE car in a lot of regions, where ITE cars must actually adhere to the rules of a sanctioning body and series, present or past (e.g. Speedvision or GrandAm). Oh, yeah - it isn't legal there either. Some regions use more of an "ITEverthingelse" kind of philosophy, so that would work.
I have seen a number of projects described here and elsewhere that are really cool, use great parts, cost a lot of money, and probably go like stink but there is a lesson to be learned here. It is REALLY easy to create a one trick pony that has no resale value. I will be surprised if he gets 30 cents back on his dollar, which bites...
