Are your recommendations based on likelihood of burning out?

I've heard anything over 55w is likely to melt things that shouldn't be melted, but what about the "55w=85w" bulbs like I think PIAA makes? damn things are like $25/each tho....ouch.

I've tried to find yellow H3s but they don't seem to exist at any of my local parts stores. anyone have a good online resource?

lumantics, polarg, raybrigs makes yellow ion bulbs now..
but it doesnt matter if you have jdm 1peices beucase yellow comes from a TUBE in the fog casing...

unless you took that out.

by them saying 55w = 85w means that the xenon gas within the 55w bulb makes the equivalences luminecense of a regular 85w bulb.

ah. I did not know this. I thought they were yellow bulbs.

anyone ever have any legal trouble with the one-piece headlights since they are not DOT approved? from what I understand, the stock amber reflector makes it comply, but what if you added amber side-markers? I prefer the look of the one-pieces, but I can get tickets all on my own without needing my headlights to help...
