Default master cylinder size???

ive got a 95 dx.. i just did a rear gsr disc swap and now thanks to my friends wrecked ex i have lower control arms and spindles with bigger ex brakes.. my dx has a 13/16" master.. the ex without rear disc had a 7/8" master.. and i have a 1" integra master.. whats the difference? if i put the bigger master on there will i have to push less pedal to stop? or will i even notice a difference? i was considering just switching to the ex master but if its not going to do anything for me, why bother? and i dont want to put this huge master on and have the car come to a screeching halt when i think about pushing the brakes.. some help/advice would be awesome.. thanks

The bigger the master cylinder, the less pedal travel is needed for the brakes to work. Consider moving up to the 15/16" master cylinder found on the 94-98 Integra RS.

if your able to go to 1" m/c with an integra booster i would do this.. i know from experience

i have gone from 13/16 to 15/16 and now to 1" all with gsr brakes , and 40/40 proportioning valve. and i must say the 1" m/c and booster made a very noticible difference a true night and day... i felt no differce with the 15/16 . but the 1" WOW you will see what i mean if you decide to go 15/16 then 1" later on..

dont be like me and waste money.. go 1"

The "Bolt On' 15/16ths master cylinder for your car is from a 91 civic EX 4 door.

i do have the 1" master with the brake booster.. its from a 93 teg.. will that bolt on? i changed the prop valve to gsr..
another question.. i havent driven the car yet with the rear disc swap on.. when i push it around it makes a grinding noise from the rear? i think i may have ls rotors on the rear, wil that make a difference? the rotors and pads are all new and i completely cleaned the rotors w/brake cleaner so im kinda lost right now..

cool yea your fine with the m/c and booster and up to 91 will bolt on so your good

and the noise is normal i get that all the time its just the oxidation on the rotors as you push the brakes it will clean up... but you should not hear it too much as you driving down the road.. maybe its a bearing???

If you use the 1" master, you will no longer have to push the pedal as hard or as far. You will notice a difference.

As for your sound, check to make sure your backing plate (heat shield) isn't dragging on the rotors. That happened to me when I did the rears on my Integra. If it's not that, it's probably just the sound of the pada dragging on the rotors. When you drive it, it'll go away and you won't hear it again.
