Default JUN3 vs ITR cam dyno

Yea yea..Im "cam happy" today...

Here is a comparrison of JUN3 cams vs ITR cams (took the chart from Importreview and edited it a little)



Kind of a tough choice it seems. The JUN3s dominate the top end (past 7200)...but after every shift the ITRs seem like they might make a comeback in a race. Also the ITRs would be easier on the motor.

big whoop

Its not always about the hp or torque, sometimes its about dynamic performance (off the rollers) The only real way to determine if they're for you is to take them with you to the track (road or drag whichever is your fancy). thats my $0.02. its similar to the hitech headers, sure they dyno a bit more but acceleration is the object most people notice with it.

what's the compression too?

I'm guessing that the jun's need ~12:1 whereas the itr cams are ok at ~10.6:1.....

It doesnt state the compression. Here is the setup though:

LS/VTEC
1.8 ltr
Aftermarket Pistons
Eagle Rods
Stock Crank
Ported GS-R head with ports re-shaped like a B16A
Type-R intake manifold
Type-R throttle body, 62 MM
Iceman primary intake piece and Advanced concepts secondary piece extending the 3" pipe out of the headlight with a K&N filter on it.
Custom header made my Atomic Performance (not for sale)
Muffler shop $80 special 2.5 inch exhaust, all the way to back, no cat.
Greddy 310 Injectors
Stock GSR oil pump, Stock GSR water pump
Morosso Cool can for fuel
Aftermarket radiator, thin (light)
AEM cam gears
