apparently it dynoed fairly well.

...it killed the AEM I was using. Then I made a 3" version and dynoed that vs the 2.5" Slatertake and the 3" added considerable midrange and top end gains.
2.5" is too small anyways...I don't know why AEM makes their EG2 intakes that size. I think they figured out it needed to be bigger though, as they increased the diamater to 2.75" on the Civic Si.
But on a modded engine the 3" Slatertake is definitely the hot ticket.

hey slater, do you have the part number for the 3" mandrel bent piping from JC Whitney? Thanks for all the help

...is 81ZX3036T. Note that the part number changes depending on the catalog you order the part from. It goes on sale in every 2nd or 3rd catalog, and they change the part # slightly to reflect the discount. The part number I listed is the "regular" part number, which lists for $27.95.
Here's the page in case you want to see...the 3" U-bend is the very last one listed.

Heck if I know...I have no control over that.
JCW would be the people to ask.
As far as the filter, any 3" cone filter will work if you use the 3" JCW piping. The filter length and width dimensions may be different for you depending on how much room you have in your engine bay or fenderwell.
