are these plx units meant to be permanent in the car or are they suppose to be used for tuning and then taken off the car afterward?

 

more like permanent, but if you need to take it off, i don't see why not..

if you're familiar with datalogging through your uberdata, i don't see why you can't use it to datalog the wideband output.

but the M-500 do have a 'nice wideband' software that you can use out-of-the-box without too much messing around with your custom uberdata setup..
