I just bought a '01 GS-R, and the guy that had it before me put an alarm system on it, my question is when I disarm it and get in their is a high pitch noise until i turn the car on, and the exterior lights like parking and **** stay on as well....is this normal

 

sounds very much like a short or a no ground

 

whoever installed that hooked it up to the parking lights, its the same noise thats comes on when you leave your light on with the key out. usually it happens when they hook up the parking lights to the fuse panel underneath the dash. Look there and you'll probably see a wire and a female connector hooked up. take that off. but you'll have no parking lights unless you tap it in somewhere else.
