Default Question about running different fuels. i.e. 93 octane to c16

You guys out there who are running cells, or even stock gas tanks I guess. What do you do when running 93 octance, then bring it to the track and want to run race gas? Thanks for your input

You drain the 93 out and then put c16 in

haha....Mike made a funny

but it really pretty much is that simple.......once you add the new fuel, just run it long enough to get all the old stuff out of the lines and your ready to rock and roll

you obviously have to have a tune that allows you to do that though, but at idle, its not really a big deal

try to show up at the track with as little fuel, and then i suppose you could use the fuel return line to drain whatever's left. i've never done it personally, i only use race for a nitrous setup, so it's just an idea.

edit: i just saw you're rockin a VW, i have no idea if your even has a return style fuel system.......ignore my ignorance

i run a return line. i think the easiest way to do it, would be to go there with little gas in tank and almost run it dry at idle. then put the race gas in.

Chris, I do the same thing most of these guys are telling you to. I pull the return line off the rail and put on a separate hose to a gas can. Be sure that you keep the line touching the can while you run the car. Sparks are bad. Refill with desired fuel and run the numbers.
