Default Spark plug wire positions - need real help...

Alright, I need to know if incorrectly positioned spark plug wires would cause an engine not to start...i have spark, fuel, and all that, but the thing won't start...

I think that my spark plug wires may be mixed up...The number 1 cylinder (the one furthest to the right when looking under the hood, right?) should be connected to the lowest connection on the distributor cap, right? After that, they should go in sequential order, if I am correct...

The car just died on my one day, hasn't started since...could this be caused by crossed wires...

If anyone has a wiring diagram for the spark plug wires, I would be much obliged.

Thanks...
