Clifford pager???
I'm in the process of trying to decide on an alarm system for my 98 Integra GS-R. I narrowed it down to either a Clifford or a DEI Python. One of the features that I really want is an alarm pager. I know DEI sells a pager accessory, but I wasn't sure if Clifford sells one. Does anybody know if they do?
Thanks
Thanks
yes they do.. i have one..the pager is like 1" x 2" or so and has a clip just like a normal pager..it will tell you which car (it can recieve signals from more than 1 car i think) and which sensor went off... it uses 2 "AAA" batteries that last about 2-3 weeks for me between changes.. its pretty similar to the DEI one (especially now since DEI owns Clifford).. I would get the Clifford alarm and pager..
when the switch/contacts get dirty its kinda a bitch.. kinda turns off itself.. but i took it apart (unscrewed it) and cleaned the dust/dirt from the switch and its been working fine since..
other than that no problems (had it for like a year and a half)

Does anybody else know the model number or how much it costs? Also where would be the best place to purchase it, would I be able to tell my car stereo/alarm shop the model number and have them order it directly from Clifford? If I can't find the Clifford model could I also get another brand of pager, like the DEI and still use it on my Clifford system?
Thanks a lot for the help

if they are a car audio/alarm shop they should know the model number and how/where to order it from.. if they have never heard of it.. then they probably never installed it, dont have experience with it and i wouldnt get it from them anyway... i think probably (for the clifford lifetime warranty reason) you should get it installed from the place you got your alarm.. so that if something ever goes wrong.. you didnt have 2 shops touch the wiring, alter the other shops wiring to install the paging system, etc... plus it might save you some labor time since your dash, wiring is already pulled apart (if you dont already have the alarm) to do it all at once..
paging systems should work w/ different makes, i think it just taps into the sensor inputs and door trigger sensors on the alarms.. and when something goes off.. it just sends you the signal telling you what tripped.. (door/trunk, impact, etc.. )

Don't buy the DEI pager it sucks i own it.For the same price you can go out and get the crime stopper with backlit lcd. go to http://www.crimestopper.com and check out there alarm/pager in 1,with remote start the whole 9.Out of the box it gets better range, and reports which zone is being violated, via Display. However the main factor
like Teken has preeched is the antenna system you have it configured with. This determines your range,so they both can be tuned for further range but I'm going to personally switch to it,because of its additional accessories and i believe its a good system. Its the FM pager/w remote start and alarm in 1.
